Is there the ability to filter and show only selected attribute columns within the Product Attribute Values Data Set tab?
A question was asked where within the Connector Data Sets window, within the Attributes section, for the Product Attribute Values tab, is there the ability to filter and show only 2 attribute columns, for example "Brand" and "Wheel" named attributes?
Why would a Product Attributes data export ignore exporting attribute values assigned to products stored within a Data Set, when it was configured to link parent product products to child product attribute values?
In an instance of the Connector that was installed, it had a Data Set set up to supplement product data managed from an external business system, with product attributes and combinations. The data set is used to create product combinations, as well as assign attribute values to existing products imported from the external business system. A Generic adaptor was configured to have its Product Attributes data export to export attribute values directly assigned to active products, as well as allocate attribute values against parent products of combinations, using the attribute values directly assigned to the child products to be allocated to the parent products. This avoids having to manually assign attribute values to the parent products, an ensures that the parent products appear in attribute searches in connected websites. The problem is that the attribute values are no longer being assigned to the parent products when the Product Attributes data export is being run. Why would the data export start ignoring allocating attributes to parent combination products?
Which product image gets assigned as the primary?
In a dataset when assigning images to products, if a product has multiple images, how is the products primary image determined?
How can I import new products into the dataset that have been created in MYOB/WMS?
A TOTECS customer asked how to import new products that have been created in MYOB/WMS into the datasets without having to wait until the following day to have these automatically imported.
How do I bulk update product data within a Connector's Data Set from another sqlite.db3 database?
How can you update product data in a Connector's data set, by using the data stored in a separate SQLite database file saved in the version 3 format (db3)? I need to update the keyProductID and productCode of existing products in a Connector data set with new codes that have been saved another SQLite db3 file using a CSV import and SQLiteStudio application.
Making products inactive in datasets after making them inactive in an ERP system
If I make product inactive in my ERP system and run a products export from my ERP system to Datasets, should the inactive products in my ERP system be made inactive in my dataset?
Clarifying Workflow for Dataset Updates- Attachments
Question please around hierarchy when exporting data from an adapter to dataset. Instructions below are from the connector manual: 1. Importing Product Data Into A Data Set 2. Within the Connector application there is the ability to import product records into a data set, based on exporting data from a selected adaptor. When this occurs a data import process is called within the Connector that will attempt to import product records into a data set. Listed below are steps that this Product import process will follow: 1. Call adaptor's Products data export to retrieve product records from its configured data source. 2. For all existing product records within the data set the isUpdated field to N. This denotes that the product records haven't been updated. 3. Iterate through each product record retrieved from the adaptor, perform the following steps for each record: 1. Check if the product record's keyProductID field has value set, if not skip importing the record into the data set. 2. Check if a previous product record from the adaptor has already been read that contains the same keyProductID, if another imported record does then skip importing the record. 3. Check if an existing product record already exists within the data set, if a matching record is not found then add a product record to the data set. This indicates that when data is exported from a Micronet adapter to the dataset for attachments in this example, if the keyProductId exists from a previous export and an Incremental export is run, the record is ignored/skipped. In my case an incremental export was run, after one of the records had been changed (different product attachment name), it was then overwitten by the export back to original data (when it was supposed to be skipped as existing). Is this correct process, or do I have a workflow issue?
Unable to write to a Dataset because the file is locked
What causes Dataset files to become locked? And when they are locked how do you unlock them?

Assigning a multiple attribute values to a product within the same attribute field

Within a dataset how do I assign multiple attribute values to the same attribute field for a single product?

How to allow the Connector's Host Service to find and access a Data Set file stored on a network drive
Data sets SQL Lite database is stored on a network driver and one of the folder on network drive has spaces in the folder name. Connector is coming up with an error message when trying to export data to Data sets from ERP system. ERROR MESSAGE "The database file for the data set cannot be found. Check if it has been moved or no long exists" where as Data set opens up from Data Sets tab within the connector with the same path.
A product image manually added to a product in the dataset is not exported to Totecs platform
The new dataset version (1.4.0.0) is now able to manage and import Product Images and attachments data which are great features. I am able to add an image manually to a product using the browse button. However, the image path retrieved by this function is a path starting by a drive letter. (E.G. X:\website image\...) Because the connector application requires a persistent filepath to export Images to totecs platform(E.g the UNC path eg: \\exampleUNC\) ; this image is not exported to Totecs by the Product Images export. Is there a way for the dataset to obtain the UNC path of a file when using the browse function? Alternatively, can we? 1) only store the filename in the dataset field named Imagefullfilepath 2) use the settings in the generic adaptor to store the file path: - Product Image directory - Product Attachement directory
