Here at TOTECS it's been a while between Rnd Labs newsletters, and boy has there been a lot happen across the web technology landscape this year. From new server infrastructure, new integrations, security improvements, and a wealth of enhancements across the TOTECS Ecommerce Platform, we've been working hard to keep your websites running and evolving in a changing online world. Across the platform's 16.02 and 17.00 releases we've added 4 new features, 12 improvements and 23 bug fixes to support your websites further.
You can see a quick summary of all these enhancements in the release summary video, a short non-technical video format we've made to get your head around all the features, that you can optionally harness within your websites to take them to the next level.
Earlier in the year we released our integration with Afterpay, that allows your online stores to offer yet another payment option for customers to pay for orders using Buy Now Pay Later.
We developed an integration with Google Maps - Places service to enable address auto-complete features within User Registration and Order Checkout areas, minimising address data entry for your users to make it easier to speed through signup and checkout.

We evolved the integration with Google's Analytics service for tracking trends across ordering with Google's updated Google Analytics 4 service. We've also added the Express Order Checkout feature to Order Checkout/Submission web page areas, to allow power/corporate users to raise orders within the most minimum of checkout steps.
We released shipping features to calculate freight units/pallet builder for baskets. This calculator can indicate how much of a freight unit (such as a pallet, container or box) is currently filled up based on the products in the basket. We also developed features for administrators/warehouse staff to be able to change the delivery status of orders, and send out automated email notifications as confirmed orders progress through picking, packing, dispatch and delivery stages.
We enhanced product listing areas to now support multi-layout options, allowing users to choose from 3 different ways to view products. This can be set to show products in different layouts, such as grid view, list view, or compact view. Then remember their preferences as users navigate between different lists of products, such as Favourites List, Category List, and Related Products Listings.
We modified the Account Enquiry Back Order feature to allow product stock availability to show against back orders retrieved from connected business systems. This can indicate how much stock has now become available for a back order.
Plus there's a host of improvements we've released in the Connector software in the 1.26 and 1.27 releases to further automate and support more business systems, such as Netsuite.
You can check out all the great changes available by watching the latest release summary video, or clicking on any of the links below to take you to details of a specific feature or enhancement. Also come talk to us if there's a feature that you need help getting into your websites. Release notes can also be found in the TOTECS forums.
