Unable to import sales order into MYOB Exo, technical error "String or binary data would be truncated"

When the MYOB Exo adaptor within the Connector software was trying to import a sales order into MYOB Exo's underlying MS SQL Server 2008 database, it was failing to do so and a technical error was being reported in the message log: "String or binary data would be truncated".
